In-depth training on cross-contamination prevention, blood-borne pathogens, and infection control. Proper cleaning methods (ultrasonic), sterilization using Class B vacuum autoclaves, spore testing, and documentation of the sterilization process. Correct handling, packaging, and storage of sterile equipment and jewellery. Client screening: medical history forms, contraindications to piercing, informed consent, and aftercare instructions. Risk awareness: migration, rejection, allergic reactions, infections, keloids, and other healing complications. Emergency procedures: recognizing and managing fainting, excessive bleeding, anaphylaxis, and other urgent situations (including differences between standard first-aid protocols and piercing-specific responses).
Day 2. In-depth study of professional piercing tools, equipment and body jewellery standards (materials, sizing, and quality). Hands-on practice of piercing techniques to master needle control. Detailed instruction on anatomy, accurate marking, client evaluation, and safe, step-by-step execution of every above-the-waist piercing.
Day 3. You will perform piercings on live models under close supervision, applying everything you’ve learned. This hands-on practice demonstrates that, when proper procedures are followed, piercings can be performed efficiently and safely for both the client and the piercer. At the end of the course, you must pass a written theoretical exam. Upon successful completion of both the practical work and the theoretical test, you will receive a certificate of completion in above the waist body piercing, including microdermal piercings.
